IBRF Champions Research and Developement to cure our returning warriors (and civilian needs) of PTSD This event was presented  by the U.S. First Annually held Martial Arts Tournaments promoter now Shihan Grade Black Belt Gary Alexander. Alexander began sponsoring Championships after becoming the “First” North American “Knockout” Karate Champion of the U.S. (Oyama) and also of Canada back in 1962. For the past 47 years these events that “demand contact” for decisions have drawn Martial Arts luminaries from around the world. The attendee’s were treated to the U.S. Marine Corps Color Guard which is SOP at Alexander’s events with “Color’s” being displayed and the National Anthem played by 16 years old Mac Tasetano on his trumpet. Competitions began with the youngsters followed by the adult corps all of which displayed a terrific amount of enthusiasm, spirit, sportsmanship, and martial talents. Forms competition were both hand and weapons kata’s, followed by strong sparring with required contact. Techniques were clean and the fighters scored quickly. with the contact ruling there was not any bickering about points. The scores were evident to everyone. The Grand Championship of the day "Once Again" went to the BKG Group of Isaac Henry’s out of Eatontown, N.J. The "new" Marine Corps Hand 2 Hand Combat Building recently built now bears the name of "Bill Miller" in his memory. The dedication was a formal ceremony with family, friends, others looking on giving witness to Bills memory. Orahhh RIP. The World Karate Union 6/2010 Has maintained a record of integrity, quality and performance for the past 16 years. This years event, the Tasetano Family outperformed themselves with the offering of a "Cage" event on Thursday that drew a capacity 600 spectators in the "rural" area of the Pocono Mountains - outstanding! Friday night Seminars, Saturday Trade Show, Seminars, and the Grand Ballroom for food and honors. And lets not forget they offered a  WKU Karate Championship on Sunday - again at capacity   Kathi, Frank, Trevor, Caitlin, and Mac are hereby awarded 5 stars from IAMA for a job well done. Then there are the 3 Hawks that give our workouts an occasional "Fly Over" (that’s Manny. Moe, and Mack). A wonderful environment that beats the beans off working out in enclosed stagnant bourgeois dojo's and the like. So Sam, I appreciate your friendship and a vision for a Biography but for now, I pronounce myself "Not Dead", Good to Go for a long stretch forward. And actually going to re-publish (second edition) my Unarmed and Dangerous Hand to Hand Combat System (for grunts, and a few softies). I just heard on the News that 70% of our 17 to 40 year old BULLETIN ----GIRLIE MEN????  are not draftable because they are so out of shape, fat, and no guts to climb out of their chosen lifestyle of giving birth to more of their "slovenly" fat cells ad infinitum. I have followed your career in the Martial Arts in Patagonia and as an affirmative approval I issued you membership in IAMA and designated your rank at 10th Dan as an ongoing "hard core" practitioner of the Martial Arts regardless of style in particular. Your paramount (all encompassing) system has been your "Shih Shin Kan" which denotes proficiency in martial arts derived from a broad base of martial knowledge. I respect you, and your efforts in the mountains of Patagonia. Based upon my experiences and evaluations you are respected as a Tenth Degree Black Belt in Shin Shih Kan Karate/Martial Arts. In my experiences I have had wise guys that I have had issues with. Usually they are losers that have sheltered themselves within their own systems never to venture out to other styles, have never measured up in an open "contact" field, or would they integrate on the "real" mats for fear they will find out that they are not even close to their "Legends in their Mind" ego maniacal selves. Consider the Source of this poor souls remarks and consider when the bar is set too high and the losers cannot measure up, they engrandize themselves by attempting to assassinate the character of men better than them. This usually is done by paper to media from distances far removed safely from your reach. I have never heard of this "joker", never saw his "boss" on the mats of the world. To my mind these types study a system 50 years old, practiced by people 4 foot - nothing and have never progressed, nor learned beyond that system to improve themselves. If he packs the gear to cast dispersions on Gerardo Cantore, he should "mount up", trek to Patagonia and get on your mat "in Combat" and "Show" you what his "true" authority is. I am sure the response will be "Can't do that, because he is too deadly"??? Talk is cheap! And we have too many weaklings taking cheap shots at the real "Men" of the Martial Arts. Trust me, he will rant and rave from afar, but you will never see him on your mat. If this does happen judging from my opinion of you sir, he better bring some seconds to carry him home. I would say since their is so much distance between you (out of reach physically), and this guy will be recognized for what he is trying to do, it will hurt him more than you. Best Regards Gary Alexander, Founder I.A.M.A. COVERT “AVATAR” By: Gary Alexander, Former U.S. Marine W/1/9/3 I saw “Avatar” and thought the graphics and animations were tremendous. It kept me relatively spellbound with the 3D effect and the realism it brought forward. However, there was something in the pit of my stomach to see the U.S. Marines clearly depicted as unscrupulous invaders of “Avatar” and subsequently cut to pieces by the “Avatarians”. Keeping this to myself, I figured this was a movie only and I filed it to the back of my mind. That is until I heard an interview with one of the principals of the “Avatar” state that their ANIMATIONS (designs of the “Avatarians”) were depicted in such a way that going into the International Markets, “no one ethnicity” could be felt as if “they” were left out and not able to identify with the “Avatarians” in design/makeup. IT WAS AN EVERYBODY AND NOBODY AT THE SAME TIME! Here the diabolical plot thickens! This “Avatar” (in this writers opinion) was a covert political slap at America whereas the ethnicity of the Americans was obvious, and the United States Marines were clearly depicted! Depicted as invaders, ruthless unprincipled killers attacking and slaughtering an unarmed “Avatar” to gain mineral rights. “Avatar” further showed the U.S. Marines being torn apart by an outnumbered, population armed with only Bows & Arrows, backed up by herds of indigenous alien creatures. Why is it that the “AGRESSORS” were not masked “neutral” as were the “Avatarians”? The answer is, the Producers wanted to clearly spell out the overwhelming “American Forces” in full Combatics as wanton, unprincipled, aggressors, that enjoyed killing the “Avatarians” without conscience for the U.S. government? The Producers further made their point that the “Goliath (American Forces)” were smashed by the “Davids of “Avatar” armed only with their bows and arrows.
